Tour Overview
The 6-Day Uganda Chimpanzee & Gorilla Primate Safari is the definitive primate experience in East Africa — combining the two most sought-after wildlife encounters on the continent into one seamless six-day journey. You'll trek with chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, the Primate Capital of the World, before venturing deep into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a face-to-face encounter with endangered mountain gorillas.
Kibale Forest National Park is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees — the highest density of any forest in Africa — along with 12 other primate species. The afternoon Bigodi Wetland walk adds extraordinary birdlife and colobus monkeys to the experience.
The journey concludes with a serene night on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, Africa's second deepest lake, providing a peaceful contrast to the intensity of the forest encounters before your return transfer.
