How far in advance should I book a gorilla trekking permit?

Rwanda gorilla permits ($1,500 per person) sell out 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak season (June–October). Uganda permits ($800 per person) are slightly easier to secure but we still recommend booking 3–6 months ahead. Submit your enquiry as early as possible and we will check live availability.

What is included in the safari price?

All our safaris include accommodation, all meals, park entry fees, gorilla or chimpanzee permits, game drives, a dedicated expert guide, and airport transfers. International flights and travel insurance are not included, but we can recommend trusted partners for both.

Can I customise my safari itinerary?

Absolutely — every safari we create is bespoke. You choose your destinations, travel dates, accommodation style, and activities. We then build a day-by-day itinerary around your preferences and budget. There are no fixed group departures; your safari runs exclusively for your party.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations made 60 or more days before departure receive a full refund minus any non-refundable permit costs. Cancellations within 60 days are subject to our standard policy, which is outlined clearly in your booking agreement. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

Is it safe to travel to East Africa?

Rwanda and Uganda are among the safest destinations in Africa for tourists. Rwanda in particular is consistently rated one of the safest countries on the continent. We monitor all destinations continuously and provide up-to-date safety briefings. DR Congo itineraries include specific security protocols and are operated only in designated safe zones.
