The 3-Day Uganda Gorillas & Chimp Trek at Kalinzu Forest is a compact, high-impact primate safari designed for travellers with limited time who refuse to compromise on experience. Kalinzu Forest Reserve is home to over 300 habituated chimpanzees and five other primate species, yet sees a fraction of the visitor numbers of Kibale Forest. This means a more intimate, unhurried trekking experience — just you, your ranger, and the forest. The Kazinga Channel boat safari adds a completely different dimension: a two-hour glide past the highest concentration of hippos in Africa, Nile crocodiles, and a staggering diversity of waterbirds.

Pickup from Kampala or Entebbe Airport; scenic drive south-west to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Equator.
Highlights
Depart early from Kampala or Entebbe, stopping at the Equator for photos. Drive through the Ankole cattle-farming region and descend into the Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge on the Mweya Peninsula in time for a late afternoon game drive along the Kasenyi Track — prime territory for lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, and buffalo. Enjoy a welcome dinner overlooking the Kazinga Channel as hippos surface in the fading light.
