Tour Overview
This is the definitive East Africa safari — a 10-day odyssey that takes you from the mist-shrouded volcanic forests of Rwanda and Uganda to the golden plains of Kenya and Tanzania, weaving together the continent's most extraordinary wildlife encounters into one seamless, expertly guided journey.
Begin in Kigali with a city tour and the moving Genocide Memorial, then head to Akagera for Rwanda's Big Five. Volcanoes National Park delivers golden monkey trekking and the centrepiece of the safari — mountain gorilla trekking in the habitat made famous by Dian Fossey. Crossing into Uganda, a second gorilla encounter in Bwindi's ancient forest is followed by chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and the legendary tree-climbing lions and Kazinga Channel boat safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
A flight to Kenya delivers you to the Masai Mara for the Great Migration and big cat encounters, before crossing into Tanzania for the Serengeti's endless plains and a final morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the densest lion population in Africa.
